Antique Leather Cased WWI Verners Pattern Compass

This Verner’s Pattern British Army Officers compass is from the 1^st World War and is dated 1917. On the back it bears the British Army broad arrow marking and the number ‘72873’ as well as the makers mark ‘E.R. WATTS & SON. LONDON.’ On the front it is stamped ‘VERNER’S PATTERN’ and ‘VIII.’ It also still has its original leather case which is stamped ‘LEATHERIES Ltd 1917.’ It is in good condition for its age and seems to be working fine. It looks like it has a bit of mildew on the inside of the glass.
