Antique Royal Worcester Cup & Saucer by ‘Walter Sedgley’ (1926)

$95.52

In stock

This fabulous, beautifully painted and signed, antique ‘Royal Worcester’ porcelain demitasse cup & saucer features a colourful pheasant on each piece among foliage along with gilded edges, handle and heavily gilded cup interior. It was made in 1926 and hand painted by ‘Walter Sedgley’, an artist who was well known for his exotic birds and pheasants. There are two very minor, but un-noticeable faults to the cup, firstly a tiny nick to the rim of the base and what looks like a tiny hairline crack towards the bottom of the handle, otherwise this wonderful duo is in great condition with no wear to the gilding. The cup stands 5cm high with a top diameter of 5,2cm, the saucer has a 9,8cm diameter and both carry the puce ’10 dot’ factory backstamp.
