Antique Silver Gilt and Enamel ‘Sons of England’ Medal

This heavy and beautifully enamelled Sons of England medal has the wording ‘GLAMORGAN LODGE’ ‘S.O.E.P. & B.S. NO.60’ on the front and ‘PAST PRESIDENT’ on the top bar. The inscription on the back reads ‘PRESENTED TO E.A.R. LANG 1956-57.’ It is English hallmarked for Birmingham 1916, with a maker’s mark ‘R.S’ for ‘Spencer & Co.’ It is also stamped ‘SPENCER LONDON.’ The medal measures 8.5cm including the ribbon and weighs 32.7g.
