Antique Silver Plated ‘Elkington’ Tureen & Cover (1914)

This very good quality, heavy gauge, silver plated tureen and cover has two divisions and was made by ‘ELKINGTON & CO.’, probably the most important name in silver plate in England. It is very heavy and is probably plated on brass. There are nice, clear factory marks, on the base, dating this tureen to 1914. Other than a few very soft dents on the cover, it really is in good condition. It measures 24cm in diameter, a base depth of 5cm and together stands 11cm high and weighs 1215g.
