Antique Sterling Silver Cased Butter/Pate Knives (1911)

This fine quality, lovely, cased set of six antique butter or pate knives with sterling silver handles were made in Sheffield, England in 1911 by silversmiths ‘William Hutton & Sons’ (WH&S). They have hallmarked silver handles with a simple but elegant embossed ‘rope’ design border with silver-plated blades. The set are in excellent condition and appear to have never been used and come cased in their original velvet and silk lined hinged box, with a decorative gilt-edged lid. The knives measure 19cm in length and together weigh 165g. The case measures 20,5cm x 15cm x 3cm.
