Art Nouveau ‘Gorham’ Silver Overlay Scent Bottle

This fabulous, antique, American glass scent bottle and stopper has a wonderful shape and is beautifully decorated and engraved in a thick gauge ‘Gorham’ sterling silver art nouveau overlay. It probably dates between 1895 and 1910 and is stamped near the base ‘STERLING SILVER’ along with the number ‘D907’, a shape number used by the ‘Gorham’ silversmiths. Other than a very tiny chip to the bottom of the stopper and some white interior residue on the base, it’s in great condition. This lovely perfume bottle stands 10,5cm, has a diameter of 6cm and weighs 138g.
