Attractive Art Deco ‘Charlotte Rhead’ Planter or Bowl

This incredibly attractive, early, Art Deco Burleigh Ware planter or bowl, designed by Charlotte Rhead, is decorated in the ‘Garland’ pattern and dates to the late 1920’s, early 1930’s. It is tube lined in dark blue and hand painted with pale blue, green and orange colours, with the Burleigh Ware backstamp, ‘Charlotte Rheads’ signature and pattern number ‘4101’ on the base. It is oval in shape and measures 23.5cm x 12.8cm, stands 7.5cm high and weighs 645g.
