Beautiful Large Sterling Silver Basket (1925)

This fine quality, large, elegant, solid silver English hallmarked basket with swing handle from the early 1900’s, is beautifully made with a good weight and was manufactured in Birmingham in 1925 by silversmiths ‘Charles S. Green & Co.’ (CSG&Co). The round basket features an attractive shaped border with lovely pierced and cut-out floral decoration around the sides, with a similar pieced design on the swing handle and it stands on three short, curved legs. This impressive basket is in superb condition with a weight of 550g, has a diameter of 25cm, with a handle-to-handle width of 26,5cm, stands 19,5cm with handle up and 7cm with it down.
