Boer War – Q.S.A. Medal (5 Bars) ‘Northumberland Fusiliers’ (PTE. J. HARRUP)

This original, full size ‘Queen South Africa’ Medal with five clasps: Belmont, Modder River, O.F.S, Transvaal, and S.A. 1901, was issued to ‘6215 PTE. J. HARRUP’ of the ‘NORTH’D FUS.’ (1^ST Battalion, Northumberland Fusiliers). This medal is un-researched but confirmed on the roll. The top clasp ‘SA 1901’ has been attached differently to the others, but appears original, as the clasps and medal have aged together with the same amount of tarnishing, otherwise they are in excellent condition.

Note: This medal came with a ‘KIA’ WW1 Pair (J.W. HARRAP), that I have listed separately. Although a slightly different spelling, I believe this to be the son of the above recipient and is possibly a spelling mistake on the QSA Medal.
