Boer War – Rare ‘Royal Irish Fusiliers Reserve Regiment’ Cap Badge

This original, rare, very good quality, Victorian bi-metal cap badge was worn for a very short period of just over a year during the Boer War. The regiment was formed in February 1900 and disbanded on the 14^th May 1901. The badge has nice detail, good gilding with a white metal shamrock. It is in excellent condition, with both lugs intact and measures 6cm x 2.6cm at its widest.
