Early Signed Royal Doulton ‘Bunnykins’ Mug

This very early, ‘signed’ bone china ‘Bunnykins’ mug is decorated with a lovely scene that I haven’t come across before, of four bunnies at the breakfast table with ‘father bunny’ reading the newspaper. It is the old shape mug and carries the scarce ‘Barbara Vernon’ signature, which was only visible on her early pieces. The mug was made in England by ‘Royal Doulton’ as part of their ‘Nursery Ware’ range and has the traditional ‘Bunnykins’ backstamp on the base. It is in great condition for its age and stands 7,7cm high, with a rim diameter of 6,5cm.
