Early Victorian Crystal Decanter (1840 – 1860)

This amazing crystal decanter is very early and dates to the early Victorian period between 1840 and 1860. It is mallet shaped with the classic, three cut and facetted rings on a fluted neck, and topped with a lovely cut and facetted spire stopper. The base has a large polished pontil mark, and other than, what appears to be a factory fault (rough patch) on the edge of the pontil, the decanter is in great condition for its age.
