Exciting Korean Solid Silver Enamel/Cloisonné Jewellery Box

This heavy, beautifully made, vintage, high grade, solid silver jewellery box has the most amazing enamel work, in square panels, around it. Each panel is beautifully decorated with grapes, leaves and vines in various shades of blues, greens and purples on a dark blue background. All the shapes and colours are separated with silver wire. The box has a 98% silver content (which is higher than sterling silver.) It has a hinged domed lid, with a large, hinged, enamel catch and the entire box is velvet lined and fitted to store rings. It has some minor enamel damage to four panels on the top of the domed lid but other than that it is in mint condition. It has ‘SILVER 98%’ ‘MADE IN KOREA’ impressed on the base and measures 8.7cm in height, 8.2cm in width and length (square) and weighs a heavy 505grms.
