Exquisite Cased Antique Gold, Garnet & Diamond Bangle
£1,476.45
This exquisite, wonderful quality, Edwardian garnet and diamond, rose-gold bangle is in superb condition, with its original presentation case. It was made in Chester, England in 1910 and features a lovely crafted 9ct rose-gold hinged bangle set with seven, large graduated oval cut, deep red garnets, each separated with two small rose-cut diamonds. What makes it extra special, is its original custom-made, velvet and silk lined, hinged case, hence its amazing condition. The case has a gilt stamped name in the lid ‘A. SOUTER, Jeweller, 76 Nethergate, DUNDEE.’, the original South African retailers. The bangle has a secure push in clasp, is fitted with a safety chain and is stamped with clear English gold-hallmarks underneath.
This wonderful bracelet comes with a detailed valuation, with a replacement of R64 000, a copy of which is listed in the photographs. (The valuation was done by a very reputable Gemmologist; it however doesn’t take antiquity and rarity into consideration).
