Fabulous Silver ‘Candida’ Necklace/Choker

This lovely, 1950’s designer piece was made by one of South Africa’s top creative silversmiths, ‘Joe Calafato’, who used the trade name ‘Candida’, between 1947 and 1972. The necklace or choker consists of nine, wide hinged, cut-out decorative links with a secure clasp, which is stamped ‘CANDIDA’ and ‘STER SILV’. This quality piece is in excellent condition and measures 42cm in length with a link width of 1,7cm and a weight of 42,7g.
