Goebel ‘Trouble Shooter’ Doctor Figurine (Charlot Byj)

This charming, very collectable, porcelain figurine from the 1960’s, the ‘Trouble Shooter’, features a young red headed boy dressed up as a doctor, holding a syringe behind his back. It was designed by ‘Charlot Byj’ and produced by the ‘Goebel’ factory in Germany, the same factory who produced the well-known ‘Hummel’ figures. In the 1960/70’s, ‘Charlot Byj’ designed a series of red headed children for ‘Goebel’, which have now become sought after. Her signature is impressed on the back, along with the model number and date ‘Byj 67’ & ‘1969’ on the base. This figurine is in great condition and stands 13cm high.
