Gorgeous Victorian 18ct Gold & Pearl Tassel Locket Brooch

This gorgeous Victorian 18ct yellow gold locket brooch is presented in its original fitted box which is stamped in the lid ‘JA Aitchison Goldsmith 15 Bank Street Edinburgh,’ who were goldsmiths to Queen Victoria, the Prince of Wales and the Duke of Edinburgh. Aitchison worked between 1877 and 1910. The brooch is in the shape of a knot with a raised gold dome in the centre and a star set cultured pearl in the middle of it, with 2 articulated tassels dangling from the bottom. It measures 8.5cm in length (from the top of the brooch to the bottom of the tassels) and 4cm in diameter (the brooch without tassels).
