Large Antique ‘Elgin – Railway’ Pocket Watch
This lovely, large, antique, open-faced ‘railway’ pocket watch from the early 1900’s was made by the ‘Elgin National Watch Company’ in America around 1909 (acc. to the movement number). It has a silvered white metal case with a screw off back, and a white enamel face with black roman numeral numbers. It is also stamped on the movement ‘SEVEN JEWELS’ with the number ‘14453539’, and the inner of the back case is stamped ‘KEYSTONE WATCH CASE GUARANTEED SILVEROID GENUINE’. Other than some minor discolouration on the face/glass around two o’clock, the pocket watch is working and in great condition. The case measures 58mm in diameter, the crown/ring measures 82mm and it weighs 156,4g.
