Large ‘South African Police’ (1926 – 1931) Helmet Plate (Firmin London)

This original, obsolete, large brass ‘S’ type (Owens 1900) helmet plate was made in London by ‘FIRMIN’ and worn by the ‘South African Police’ for a very short period of five years (1926 to 1931). The helmet plate is in excellent condition with its three lugs intact is stamped on the back by the maker’s ‘FIRMIN LONDON’. It measures 10,3cm x 8,6cm.
