Magnificent Georgian 18ct Diamond Ring

This rare antique diamond cluster ring was probably made around the early 1800’s. It is set with 6 x ‘old mine cut’ diamonds (=approx. 0.65ct). The diamonds are set in silver in a closed back setting which is mounted onto an 18ct gold shank, with very decorative shoulders. The ring has an inscription on the inside of the shank from when it was obviously given to someone. It reads ‘Elizabeth G…… (can’t make out surname) 21 Sept 1853’
