Natal 1906 Rebellion Medal ‘PTE W.E. BOURK’ (Durban Light Infantry)

This original, full size ‘Natal Bambatha Rebellion’ medal with ribbon was issued to ‘Private W.E. Bourk’ of the Durban Light Infantry (D.L.I.). The medal is un-researched but confirmed on the roll and is in excellent condition.

Note: This is the only British campaign medal not awarded to any British troops. The Natal Native Rebellion medal was a South African campaign medal and was issued for service in the Bambatha Rebellion in Natal 1906. Those who served for fifty days or longer qualified for the 1906 clasp with the medal.
