Rare ‘Kalahari’ Studio Pottery Dish or Wall Hanging

This wonderful, scarce, South African pottery dish or wall hanging was made by the very collectable ‘Kalahari’ Studio potteries in Cape Town, probably around the 1950/60’s. It is rectangular in shape with rounded sides, a shallow depth and is decorated with brightly coloured hand-painted enamels. The dish is stamped on the back with their small logo, and the words ‘KALAHARI S AFRICA  10’ in relief. It is in excellent condition and could also be hung on a wall, as it has a custom drilled hole on the back. It measures 25,6cm x 18cm, and weighs 515g.
