Rare Victorian Silver Vesta Case and Slow Match Holder

A Stunning Victorian circular vesta case and slow match holder with a hinged lid on the one side and a rotating/ sliding outer case exposing a hidden striker and a hole for the cord of the slow match on the rim. The front and rear has finely worked raised flowers and vines in silver.  The box is English hallmarked for London 1879 and J.B. A.J. (Jane Brownett & Alexander Jones). It measures 6.5cm in length (incl. the hanger), 4.5cm in width, 1.4cm in depth and weighs 55g.
