Scarce Designer ‘Haglund’ Sterling Silver & Onyx ‘Modernist’ Bracelet

This fabulous, modernist, solid silver and onyx designer bracelet from the 1950’s, was made by the sought-after Swedish jeweller ‘Birger Haglund’, who worked extensively in South Africa and Sweden. This designer piece is beautifully made in a thick gauge silver, giving it a lovely weight and feel. It consists of six wonderful large concave oval panels, set with an onyx stone in the centre of each, which are then connected with round solid small rings. The bracelet is in excellent condition and is fitted with a safety chain, and on the back of one of the panels is stamped ‘HAGLUND’ and ‘STERLING SILVER’. It measures approximately 18,5cm in length, with each oval link measuring 3,5cm x 2,5cm, and it weighs 67,4g.
