Superb Vintage Silver-Plated ‘Egg Cup Cruet Set’

This superb quality, early silver-plated breakfast set and stand from the early 1900’s, consists of a rare combination you very seldom see, and is in excellent condition. The set consists of a three-piece cruet set (mustard pot with hinged lid & spoon, crystal salt pot & spoon, and a pepper pot with push on lid), two removable egg cups with two spoons and a very attractive stand. The stand has a lovely scalloped wide wavy border, with an unusual cut out or pierced ‘cross’ pattern, with beautifully engraved foliage, and sits on four small round bun feet. The cruet has heavy good quality, cut-crystal jars with plain, but attractive silver-plated tops. The plating on the breakfast set is in great condition with the spoons possibly added later, as they often went missing. The base measures 20cm x 15cm and stands 18cm high, with a combined weight of 745g.
