Union Castle Line ‘R.M.S. Arundel Castle’ Desk Calendar
This scarce, early, silver-plated, souvenir perpetual desk top calendar features the enamel emblem of the ‘R.M.S. ARUNDEL CASTLE’ and comes with a complete set of faux ivory day, date, and month cards. This ship was launched in 1919 and operated between Southampton and Cape Town from 1921 to 1958. During World War 2, she served as a troopship for the Admiralty. The calendar is stamped on the back ‘EPNS & JF’ and is in excellent condition. It stands 7cm high, with a base diameter of 4,7cm.
