Victorian 9ct Gold Citrine ‘Intaglio’ Fob/Seal Pendant

This wonderful, early Victorian 9ct rose gold fob/seal pendant is set with a large (8,60ct), rectangular pale yellow Citrine stone with an intaglio family crest, of a ‘roosters head & neck resting on a crown’ finely engraved with lovely detail. The fob has a decorative classic shape and is fitted with a large gold ring. Other than minor age-related wear, it’s in excellent condition with a lovely, polished rose-gold patina. It measures 30mm x 19mm x 17mm and weighs 10,1g.

This lovely piece comes with a detailed independent valuation with a replacement of R33 800, a copy of which is listed in the photographs. (The valuation was done by a reputable Gemmologist but doesn’t take antiquity and rarity into consideration).
