Victorian Silver-Plated Strawberry Server (Walker & Hall)
This impressive, late Victorian, large, silver-plated double strawberry server with round fluted dishes and matching cream jug and caster sugar bowl was made around 1890 in Sheffield, England by one of the top silversmiths ‘Walker & Hall’. It has a decorative entwined wire handle and stands on four, short round bun feet. This lovely piece, which you seldom come across, is in excellent condition and would be ideal for serving other deserts, like cakes or biscuits when strawberries are out of season. It measures 41cm x 22cm, stands 22cm high and weighs 1120g.
