Large 9ct Rose Gold Cameo Pendant

This lovely Edwardian cameo has been carved from a single cornelian shell, and is set in a very attractive 9ct rose gold frame featuring a row of twisted rope on a flat, engraved and shaped frame. The cornelian shells consist of a white marble like layer and a darker layer, typically brown, allowing a master carver to create an image of a beautiful lady in fine detail with a contrasting background. The condition of this piece is amazing and the photographs don’t do it justice. It measures 52mm from the top of the hanger and 38mm side to side. The cameo measures 34mm x 26mm.
