Vintage ‘Pyrene’ Brass Fire Extinguisher & Wall Bracket

This original, lovely, early British made, solid brass ‘Pyrene’ hand-pump fire extinguisher from the 1940/50’s is in great condition and although empty, appears mechanically sound and comes complete with its mounting bracket. Some of the details on the front are in English & Afrikaans and read ‘Pyrene’, ‘FIRE EXTINGUISHER BRAND BLUSSER’, ‘THE PYRENE COMPANY’ ‘Great West Road, BRENTFORD, MIDDLESEX, ENGLAND’, along with their South African retailers ‘REPRESENTATIVES’, ‘H. ALERS HANKEY LTD’, ‘P.O. Box 3807 JOHANNESBURG’. The extinguisher measures 35cm x 8cm with a weight of 1,3kg and together with the bracket weighs 1,89kg.
