This Wedgwood ‘Transvaal Scottish’ military tankard, which was designed by Keith Murray, is in mint condition. The classic Art Deco tankard has the Transvaal Scottish badge on the front with ‘Golden 1952 Jubilee’ underneath. The back features three soldiers each with different military uniforms from 1902, 1914 and 1931. The handle depicts a picture of a Transvaal Scottish Dirk (dagger). Underneath it mentions the regiments a) Battle Honour – South West Africa 1915 b) Tartan – Atholl Murray c) Regimental March – The Atholl Highlanders d) Allied to – The Black Watch. It has the ‘Wedgwood of Etruria & Barlaston’ ‘Made in England’ factory mark with the initials ‘K.M.’ for Keith Murray. The tankard stands 12cm high with a base diameter of 9cm.
