Wonderful Antique Silver Soup or Punch Ladle

This early, super quality, solid silver soup or punch ladle has a long fiddle shaped handle with a thread design and a circular shaped bowl, with its original gilded interior. The heavy ladle has a lovely shape and was made in Germany around the late 1800’s/early 1900’s. It is stamped with German hallmarks, as well as the ‘800’ Purity mark, and the name ‘SEMBACH’, a town in Germany. The top of the handle is monogramed with the letters ‘EW’. The ladle measures 36cm in length, with a bowl diameter of 9,6cm, weighs 210g, and is in amazing condition for its age.
