Wonderful ‘Dreams of Katharina’ Plate (Heinrich, Villeroy & Boch)

This beautiful, fine quality porcelain cabinet plate ‘Dreams of Katharina’ is from a range of collector’s plates, decorated in colourful fantasy scenes, designed by ‘Gero Trauth’. The series, which is now discontinued, were produced in Germany between 1985 and 1987 by the well-known ‘Heinrich and Villeroy & Boch’ factory. The plate features a very colourful and enchanting scene of a large swan and two ladies nestled behind his wing, with the most colourful flowers above them. This is surrounded by a wide baby blue border with an unusual gilt design decorated in soft colours. Parts of the scene in the centre, the border and edges are all highlighted in gold. The plate is in mint condition, with a diameter of 21,5cm.
