WW1 – ‘K.I.A.’ Medals to ‘C. SJT. W.P. BURNETT’ (Wiltshire Reg.)

This original, Great War causality pair of full-size medals were awarded to ‘Company Quartermaster Serjeant, Wilfred Percy Burnett’ who at the age of 27, was killed in action during the final advance in Flanders, Ypres, on the 28th of September 1918 in Belgium. He was serving with the ‘Wiltshire Regiment, 6th Battalion (Wiltshire Yeomanry)’ and is buried at the ‘Perth Cemetery China Wall’ in West Flanders, Belgium. The medals are impressed ‘12116 C.SJT. W.P. BURNETT. WILTS. R.’ (‘L.CPL’ on the star). These medals are in great condition, nicely tarnished with their original ribbons.
