WW2 – Rare ‘P.O.W’ Miniature Bread Dough Shoes
£40.55
These wonderful, scarce miniature shoes were intricately hand crafted out of bread rations by prisoners of war (POW) during WW2. I was informed that they were made by Italian P.O.W.’s in South Africa. This pair (not matching), have amazing detail and it appears, they were originally painted red and green. They’re in great condition, which is rare considering their organic composition, as most of them would have disintegrated over time. One measures 57mm x 19mm and the other 48mm x 15mm.
